ADAM BARTH

Adam Barth is a multi-instrumentalist who began teaching private lessons in high school and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music Degree from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. He is a passionately versatile musician, comfortable with classical, jazz, bluegrass, pop, rock, and Celtic music and has experience with a variety of teaching styles. He highly emphasizes improvisation and ear training in his pedagogy and works to connect each student to their inner voice. His diverse performance background includes classical orchestras, jazz bands, folk bands, dance bands, busking on the street, and choirs. He actively gigs with various ensembles at weddings and special events and is involved in several musical projects in the NYC area on violin, saxophone, voice, and keyboard. In addition to his performance experience, Adam is a composer and arranger for media and theater, having composed for podcasts, musical theater, and multimedia projects. Adam loves to let his students lead their own musical exploration, believing that they should not be confined to a single genre or medium. He believes music is a spiritual and interpersonal experience and is passionate about helping students tap into its flow.
