Donna Scheer has performed, directed and choreographed in regional theatres throughout the country. Her principal roles include major musicals (West Side StoryShe Loves MeChicago), contemporary American drama (Angels in America: Perestroika) and Shakespeare (Taming of the Shrew). Her choreography includes works in modern dance as well as musical theatre and has been seen in regional and stock theatres.  She has directed or choreographed, among many others, OklahomaChicagoFiddler on the Roof, and In the Heights. She has trained with Berle Davis, Germaine Salsberg, Chet Walker and had the privilege of assisting Ann Reinking as she restaged works by Bob Fosse. She holds a BA in Theatre with a Dance Emphasis and an MA in Theatre, and studied at Stanford University in the Graduate School of Education with additional work in the Harvard Graduate School of Education Project Zero Institute. A highly sought-after educator, she has taught students at all levels and has been on the theatre and dance faculties of Long Island University CW Post and the State University of New York at New Paltz. She recently returned to New York after 15 years in Santa Fe, NM where she was the Director of the School for Performing Arts for National Dance Institute New Mexico and directed the dance program at Santa Fe High School.
