Ellen is an arts educator, producer, director, and actress. She is a former theater educator for the Franklin Township school district, where she instructed at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

In addition to her career in public education, she was the Education Director of Luna Stage Company (West Orange, NJ), the co-founder of Running Rabbit Family Theater (a theater for family audiences and recipient of a Citation of Excellence from NJ State Council on the Arts), and served as the Artistic Director of A Kids Forum in Metuchen, NJ. As an actress, Ellen appeared off-Broadway and in national tours, regional theater, summer stock, film, and television, and worked as a casting director.

Ellen has been a member of Pushcart Players since 1995, currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors and as the Outreach and Education Director.
