ERICA VANDERLINDE FEIDNER
Erica Feidner grew up in a family of 7 pianists and educators in a house filled with 26 pianos, and began playing at the age of 3. By age 9, she was a full-fledged piano teacher, which fueled her interest in master the art of interaction, engagement and communication with people of all ages and cultures.
She earned a scholarship to the Juilliard School (Prep) traveling weekly from VT, and subsequently made her orchestral debut at age 11, followed by numerous solo engagements as a teen. Later, she earned her BFA and MBA, and in 1992 joined the team at Steinway & Sons in NYC where she became the top sales representative worldwide for nearly a decade. Her novel approach to finding the perfect piano for each client was featured in a story by Pulitzer prize winning journalist James B. Stewart, in “The New Yorker” magazine which has recently been optioned by Tessa Ross for a feature film. Erica founded her own piano-pairing company and has been the single driving force behind “Piano Matchmaker™” since 2005. Her work has been represented on CNN, PBS, the cover of Inc. magazine, and she was named one of “10 Greatest Salespeople of All Time.”
