Empowering Students Through the Joy of Music and the Arts

JACKY DONNELLY

Variety of instruments

Jacky Donnelly grew up in Fair Lawn, NJ and fell in love with music at a very early age.  She started playing violin in the third grade and became mesmerized by the idea of creating music.  In the fourth grade, she took up clarinet, which she played well into high school, playing many other wind instruments over the years in various groups such as trumpet and alto saxophone.  Entering her senior year of high school, she picked up a French horn and it was love at first sight…and sound!  Following high school, Ms. Donnelly attended Rutgers University and studied French horn and music education at Mason Gross School of the Arts.

Ms. Donnelly was a member of the prestigious Rutgers Wind Ensemble and the highly esteemed Rutgers Symphony Orchestra and she holds a bachelors of music education as well as a NJ Teaching Certification with Advanced Standing (K-12).  Since her undergraduate, Jacky has performed in local groups and musicals.

Ms. Donnelly taught general music at Prospect Park Elementary school in Prospect Park, NJ from 2011-2016.  She has also taught many private lessons over the years.  She is very excited to join the Anselmo faculty.
