JENNY HONAN

Originally from Rochester, NY, Jennifer Kayner Honan is a seasoned musician and teacher. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan University and has taught in public and private schools. She has moved her teaching/performing base to the NYC area and currently teaches for the Garden Street School of the Performing Arts, Tiny Tunes (based in Chicago); music classes for babies/toddlers and parents, in addition to her own private students and students with disabilities in the Borough of Queens.
She is a busy performer singing as a recitalist/concertizer and is subbing most weekends for Liturgical Churches as a ringer, soloist or pianist/organist.
Jennifer performed the role of Lucy from Menotti’s Opera The Telephone in Morelia, Mexico in June of 2023 and will complete a recording of 3 songs by Stephen Shewan due for release at the end of 2023.
Jennifer is currently completing her Masters Degree in Classical Voice at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Joan Patenaude Yarnell.
Jennifer specializes in teaching voice, piano/organ, violin, and guitar.
Jennifer is the mother of 7 children, now mostly grown and grandmother to 4.
