Johnny Steele is a drummer, composer, educator, and producer with over 10 years of experience in the music industry. Since moving to New York City in 2017, Steele has played with jazz legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Jon Faddis, Roy Hargrove, Frank Kimbrough, Jimmy Heath, Bruce Williams, and many more. In 2019, Steele was admitted into the prestigious Accelerated Masters program at the Juilliard School and is in his last year before completion. He received his bachelors from Juilliard in the spring of 2021 and will receive his masters in the spring of 2022. Johnny has a passion for education and nurturing the next generation of musicians. He brings his unique experience and knowledge of multiple instruments into his teaching practice to give his students an in-depth yet fun learning experience. Steele currently teaches drums, auxiliary percussion, songwriting, composition, and piano.
