Malik “Jit Jr” Barnes is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator from Atlanta, GA. He has a strong expertise in both theoretical and historical knowledge from 1920s to current music in multiple genres including RnB, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Gospel and European classical music.
Malik has 10 years of experience in the music field and has played in productions in including Broadway for Racial Justice: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Played for many corporate venues and played for both the First Lady of Jamaica and Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance from Valdosta State University.
