Martin started his classical guitar training at the age of 11 in Cuenca, Ecuador. After showing great promise and potential he began performing and participating in festivals and master classes with guitar legends like Angel Romero and Pepe Romero.
At the age of 18 he moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional musician. In 2018 obtained a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Mannes College of Music where he studied with Emmy award winner Fred Hand, and concert virtuoso Michael Newman. He has performed in master classes with Ben Verdery, Joao Luiz, Leo Brouwer, Martha Masters, among others. Currently he pursues a master’s degree in Music Performance at New Jersey City University under the study of renowned guitarist Dr. Celil Rafik Kaya. At NJCU he has been among the few who have been awarded with the Talent Scholarship and the Maher Classical Music Scholarship.
