RACHEL WARDEN

From Bryan, Texas, Rachel Warden began her musical journey at the age of 6. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Moores School of Music. Originally a student of the Suzuki method, Warden is a versatile musician comfortable with classical, bluegrass, pop and rock styles along with various teaching methodologies. She attended the Marian Anderson String Quartet Chamber Music Institute for 7 years and became a fellow in 2015. Warden has received tutelage from a number of world renowned musicians including Jeremy Zhu and Oleh Krysa during her time at the prestigious Eastman School of Music. She has played in masterclasses with revered musicians such as William Preucil, former Concertmaster of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra, Kenneth Goldsmith, Professor of Violin at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, and studied with Andrzej Grabiec, worldwide renowned violin soloist and conductor, for four years during her time at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music. Rachel is an accomplished performer placing as a finalist in the Brazos Valley Concerto Competition and the Tuesday Musical Club Young Artist Competition. During her studies, she remained an active performer playing in numerous symphony orchestra concerts, operas, and ballets. Warden has 4 years of teaching experience with both violin and piano, and she is passionate about encouraging students of all ages and levels to foster a love and passion for music.
