Voice

Stephanie is a professional singer, performer and voice teacher from Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. She embodies a musical journey that started at an early age in choirs and cultural activities, evolving into a passionate fusion of Latin, folk, rock, and pop influences.  

In 2015, she achieved her BA in Popular Music from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, specializing in contemporary vocal performance and complementing her artistry minoring in Music Business. In 2011 she had the opportunity to perform at the Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Fest as part of the Berklee workshops ensemble under the direction of Darcel Wilson. During her university studies, Stephanie discovered a captivating interest in jazz and diverse musical styles, finding in jazz a canvas that allows her the freedom to experiment with different musical elements and styles. Her dedication further led her to complete a vocal pedagogy certification using the acclaimed Somatic Voicework Method at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. Here She had the opportunity to learn directly from prestigious voice educators like Jamie Leonhart, Trinice Robinson and Jeanie Lovetri to name a few. In 2016 after completing college, she began performing with her jazz quartet at various venues with interpretations of timeless standards and contemporary jazz/fusion arrangements.  

Over the past decade, she has not only honed her craft as a vocal teacher in diverse academies but also delivered captivating performances across different musical formats at venues and exclusive private events alongside acclaimed musicians. She has also worked with many local artists in their music projects, recording vocals and providing vocal coaching during recording sessions. 

In her role as a voice teacher, Stephanie likes to focus on each student’s goals and needs, providing tailored lessons to develop the voice based on many disciplines such as voice medicine, breathwork and vocal pedagogy to reach a balance within sustainability and artistry. In her journey , Stephanie has been able to help and prepare students for auditions, voice competitions and live performances. Her goal as a voice teacher is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where your voice can flourish. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vocalist, your vocal journey will be marked by encouragement, inspiration, and a celebration of the unique qualities that make your voice distinctly yours

Now based in the heart of New York City, Stephanie thrives in the local scene by performing at various music shows with small and large ensembles, seamlessly balancing her voice teaching endeavors as she works in the craft of her upcoming musical project.
