Empowering Students Through the Joy of Music, Arts and Education



Yana Koroleva is originally from Russia. When she was 7 years old, she attended a specialized music school for children in her home city Cheboksary for 8 years, in which she studied classical piano, music theory, choir, and other music classes.

When Yana moved to the USA, she decided to continue her journey in music education. She attended City College of New York, which she graduated in 2013 with BA degree in music performance. She loves teaching and sharing joy of music with people of all ages. She has been tutoring and teaching piano to her friends, classmates, and children since high school. She is a licensed Music Together teacher, and she loves creating various music projects with kids, making their journey to learn an instrument interesting and enjoyable.

Yana is currently working on her second degree in Psychology, and she would like to become a music therapist as well. .

Besides piano, Yana also enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She is performing in New York area, and she also volunteers at the New York Methodist hospital playing for patients.

Ms. Yana Koroleva has joined the faculty of the Piano School in 2016.
