Zarif is a self taught guitarist and composer from Queens, NY. From an early age he loved music and sought out the ability to make music by any means. He first started learning guitar at the age of 12 while he took singing and violin classes. His musical style is influenced from all kinds of genres including: classical, folk, samba, jazz, and metal. He plays in a 3 piece band that aims to paint oceanic and cosmic imagery through atmospheric sounds and impressionistic punctuation. Taking many inspiration from modern day math rock and classical impressionism. Zarif is motivated by the ability to make music at will, and enthralled by the journey to mastery.
