ANGELOS PANAYOTIDI
Piano
Angelos is a musician, producer, and composer based in Orange County, NY. Playing saxophone for the school band starting age 10, and self-teaching piano at 11, Angelos found great joy in engaging with music. Throughout high school, Angelos started writing original music, accompanying vocalists for pop music, and learning bassoon. Angelos performed in both jazz ensembles and orchestras for various concerts and festivals, including NYSSMA, and sang in the All-County Choir, receiving Orange County’s Sojourner Truth Award for various contributions to music programs.
Angelos studied Performing Arts & Music Business at Orange County Community College for two years under the guidance of Chris Parker and Mark Strunsky, performing for the college choir and improvising piano solos and original music at the college’s annual art gallery festival. Angelos collaborated with students and performed at local venues in Orange County, focusing on giving a good experience to both passive and active listeners before the stage. This love of performing brought Angelos to audition locally, winning a role as a park entertainer at LEGOLAND New York Resort and drawing on theater experience from high school to collaborate with actors on set and deliver a captivating experience through both emotion and training.
Guided by passion for many genres and interpretations of music, including classical, rock, electronic, pop, hip hop, country, blues, jazz, and more, Angelos pays close attention to the core essence unifying many forms of art, between music, theater, speaking, and writing. Through this essence, Angelos explores the underlying beauty of each aspiring musician, guiding them to channel their most authentic selves throughout their creativity and training. Angelos seeks to equip students with the knowledge they need to reproduce beautiful works of renowned composers and songwriters as well as create music of their own.
