Academy of Music and the Arts

OUR MISSION

We Make It Possible for Everyone to Fall in Love with Music and the Arts

The mission of the Anselmo Academy of Music and the Arts is to enrich student’s lives and broaden their perspectives by providing music education including instrumental training in piano, violin, guitar and voice, as well as acting. Classes are taught by highly trained, motivated teachers. We seek to empower all children and adults who want to learn music and the arts regardless of talent or ability to pay. Our wide range of private, group and community based classes foster self-esteem, confidence and the joy of music and the arts.

FROM OUR PARENTS The recital was fantastic. Our daughter was so excited and proud of herself for performing, getting the certificate and the medal which she wore to school today. This first semester has been such a positive experience. I really attribute it great teaching and having the perfect teacher for her. We look forward to more lessons. Thank you!

From our parents " Thank you so much for the time and effort put forth with the children. My daughter has a piano notebook at home where she is "composing" her own songs. It's adorable to watch her string together notes and then jot them in her book! I can only imagine the energy level you encounter at day's end with a group of 1st graders... but you have certainly encouraged her to love and explore music with a smile - rather than as a chore! "

– Evelyn H.
From our parents " There are no words to say how emotional last night was for me. Our son has made us so incredibly proud over the years for so many things, but his commitment to the piano has been the most long-lived. His dedication is, in no small measure, due to the wonderful start he had with you all those years ago. You gave him just the right combination of encouragement and challenge, constantly raising the bar, which he eagerly leaped over. As he prepares to leave for college in August, many memories of his extraordinary teachers are rushing back to me. Thank you for giving so much to our son, and being a part of our lives. "

- Matthew’s mom
From our parents " My daughter took an acting class with Ms Ruthie* and loved it! The class was creative, engaging, and fun. I'd highly recommend it to every parent since it gets kids (even introverts) to share, express themselves, meet new people, and have a great time. "
