CHUN WANG

Chun Wang was born in China and received his formal training at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, before moving to the United States in 2009 to continue his education at The Juilliard School. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Dr Solomon Mikowsky.
In his professional career, Chun has performed extensively at many famous concert venues around the world, including Salle Cortot in Paris, Wigmore Hall in London, and Sala Cecília Meireles in Rio de Janeiro. He made his concerto debut at age of 15 with St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra at The Bolshoi Hall, St Petersburg in 2006 and has since collaborated with many orchestras such as Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, Granada City Orchestra (Spain) and so on. He is a laureate of many prestigious international piano competitions around the world such as Hamamatsu, UNISA (South Africa), Jaén (Spain), and Panama. His first CD, released in December 2018 by NAXOS, made the Top 50 Classical New Releases on Spotify playlist and was featured on BBC Radio 3.
