JAKOB DREYER
Bass, Piano
German born Jakob Dreyer started playing piano when he was 4 years old. He received classical training as a piano player until he switched to bass at age 13. Among his teachers were John Patitucci, Mike Richmond and Anders Jormin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Music an Drama Hamburg as well as a master’s degree in music performance from the City College of New York. He has played alongside Grammy-winning artists like Steve Wilson and Rogerio Boccato, and has performed at important venues all over the world including Carnegie Hall in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Laizshalle in Hamburg, and Bennetts Lane in Melbourne.
