Empowering Students Through the Joy of Music and the Arts

JOËLLE QUILLA

President

Joëlle is an experienced legal advisor, with a customer focused mindset, who regularly counsels all levels of management on a wide variety of legal matters. She has spent the last 15+ years practicing in-house in the digital, information consulting & technology services, and remote workforce talent industries. Joëlle is currently serving in a senior legal role with Toptal, LLC, responsible for supporting Enterprise Client growth, and prior to that, served as Deputy General Counsel for North America Commercial Transactions at Cognizant Technology Solutions. In addition to deep commercial transaction expertise, Joëlle has significant experience with IP matters, global team management, employee relations/HR, outside counsel management and general corporate matters. Joëlle has always been active with diversity and inclusion initiatives in her in-house counsel roles, as well as participating in her spare time with various legal pro bono groups and education focused non-profits.
Prior to moving to in-house practice, Joëlle was in private practice at the New York City office of Bingham McCutchen LLP, after having received a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham College (magna cum laude) and J.D. from Fordham Law School.

Joëlle was formerly President of the Association of Corporate Counsel New Jersey (ACCNJ), and currently serves on the ACCNJ Board of Advisors as well as serving as Publications Chair for the Corporate and Securities Law Network of the Association of Corporate Counsel (National Level). Joëlle also served for a combined 4 years as a member of the Board of Advocates for Citizen Schools New Jersey and New York.
While lacking any real musical ability, Joëlle has been interested in music her whole life, including playing the piano, clarinet, flute, saxophone and even taking voice lessons. She and her husband (talented guitar player) have passed their passion for music down to their daughter and son, who play the piano, sing and dance (on tiktok, of course). She is thrilled to join the Board of Anselmo Academy to help further the mission of empowering students through the joy of music and art education.
