Lazlo Torok

Lazlo Torok is a Brooklyn-based pianist, guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Denver, Colorado. Lazlo has been in love with music since banging on pots and pans on the kitchen floor. In Colorado, he attended the Denver School of the Arts for middle and high school under the direction of Dave Hammond, and then moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School for a Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance under the direction of Wynton Marsalis and Aaron Flagg. Lazlo has played in festivals with programs such as the Telluride Jazz All-Stars and Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts, and been selected for competitions like All-State Jazz, YoungArts, and Essentially Ellington.

He has led his own bands playing original music, participated in the GLUCK fellowship at Juilliard playing for seniors across NYC, and is working on his first album to be released early next year. He loves to spread the joy of music to new and experienced students and believes music is for everyone.
