Berklee Alum Summa Cum Laude, Marchell Jackson (artist name Whitney Marchelle Jackson) graduated in Vocal Performance /piano, residing in New York City. She is a seasoned educator where she has taught in groups internationally including Wellington School in Dubai, and Koyo School of Music in Kobe, Japan. Marchell’s instructional teaching at Eastman Community
College in Rochester, New York, was spotlighted live on ABC. Marchell’s private vocal /piano students have been featured in Broadway shows,Television shows, commercials and national charted recordings, from ages from 6 years old to adults. Her educational instructions in Pop,Jazz (scatting and phrasing),Theater, Folk, Rock,Gospel, Classical, Big bands, recording studios, the American Songbook both in Piano (beginners to advance using inversions / comping) and Sight reading vocals in a period of 15 years. Marchell divides her time as a freelance artist performing in venues as The Apollo, United Nations, New York Blue Note, World Cup, commercials and festivals.
