MS. ALECIA
Manager, New Jersey, Rockland, Westchester & Honorary
Board Member & Faculty, Piano
Ms. Alecia began playing piano at the age of four because of her parents’ influence, both of whom were musicians. Taking numerous courses as a child at the Mannes College of Music preparatory division led to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Mannes. She studied piano under Diane Walsh and Thomas Sauer, and also obtained a Bachelor’s in Music Theory. During school, Alecia began teaching privately in Manhattan while starting the piano program at the Huntington Music Academy in Huntington, New York. She then worked as a manager at a music school for infants and toddlers in NYC. This led her to studies in accounting and a graduate degree from Devry University. After moving around the country for several years, Alecia settled back in New Jersey where she’s originally from, and has taught piano in Maplewood and Short Hills for the past 10 years. Alecia is excited and thankful to be a member of the Anselmo Academy family!
