SARAH RIDJALSKI
Piano
Sarah is a Bulgarian pianist, born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She was introduced to the piano at an early age by her mother and grew up in a very musical household where music was deeply celebrated and prioritized. She completed a double Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, majoring in Classical Piano, and Commerce, specializing in Management Studies from Monash University in Australia.
With over eight years of teaching experience both in Australia and the Unites States, Sarah has worked with students in both private and group settings, preparing them for recitals, exams, and helping them develop their confidence in their musical abilities and journey. She is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where students feel comfortable and willing to express their musicality and explore their artistry. She has extensive experience as a performer, performing as a soloist in her university and various ensembles, and worked as an accompanist. She brings these skills into her classrooms, encouraging students to develop their performing capabilities.
Beyond the piano keys, she is a versatile musician, being a violinist, flutist, and has sung in prestigious Australian choirs including Young Voices of Melbourne and Exaudi. Through these choirs she has attended various choral festivals around the world, touring to Japan, New Zealand, USA, and around Australia. In 2015, she attended the Summa Cum Laude Festival in Vienna, Austria with her school string orchestra, winning first place in the International Youth Festival bringing musicians from all over the world to Vienna. She was also a music captain in her school, leading orchestras and conducting the school choir, and awarded the Edna Miller award for music, for her dedication to the music faculty.
Aside from music, she is passionate about many other art forms, including painting, acting and reading literature.
