Sofia Kriger is a Brazilian vocalist and pianist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the New England Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies and Performance, where she had the opportunity to study and collaborate with some of the best musicians and educators, including Dominique Eade, Jerry Bergonzi, John McNeil, Ran Blake, Jeanie LoVetri, Joe Morris, Dave Holland, John Lockwood and Frank Carlberg.

As an instructor, Sofia encourages her students to experiment playing different music styles, to improvise, and to be inspired and comfortable with their instruments. She combines her conservatory training, composer creativity and performing abilities to find the inner musician in each and every one of her students.
